ROBLOX Recruiting at GDC

With GDC looming right around the corner, we decided to give you some insight as to what we’re planning.  This year will be the first time that we have a booth at the conference, and we are excited to increase our presence at the world’s longest running game industry event.  There will be five days of panels, tutorials and roundtable discussions on a comprehensive selection of game development topics taught by leading industry experts.

Recruiting

ROBLOX has several open positions for senior game developers.  We are especially looking for experienced C++/Rendering/Simulation gurus. A full list of our open positions is here. Stop by our booth and we can tell you about open positions, as well as a day in the life of a ROBLOX employee. We are booth 2042 located in the GDC Exposition Hall.  The UC Irvine Computer Game Science students, as well as other university students, will be spending time with us.  Be sure to bring your resume and portfolio.

Games and Prizes

Visit our booth to compete in a new game from the ROBLOX Content team, and for a chance to win ROBLOX goods. Here is a screenshot of the game:

So they used the CmdUtl plugin here too? Well, there using the terrain though which CmdUtl can’t do anything to terrain. Wish I could go, but I’m not old enough for a job at ROBLOX. Maybe someday, ROBLOX.

Wow. Just. Wow. Your leaderboard looks epical. CHUCK NORRIS EPIC ACTUALY. Anywho, you weren’t the first to create a GUI leaderboard. My friend 1waffle1 has 2 or 3 games with his leaderboard.

GDC is the Gamer Developers Conference guys, it’s not a Roblox thing. Roblox just has a booth were you can learn about it.

Is there a minimum age for the job position? I have several years of C++ experience, but I am 14.
