ROBLOXian Kirk Last month, ROBLOX released a preview of potential body, head and face components for new ROBLOX characters.  Today, we will show you the 3D renderings of heads, bodies, arms and hands that we have been exploring.  Because we want to know what our users think, we have included a survey below the photos, where you can indicate what you like.

Here are 3D renderings of male and female bodies.  We have a few versions that sort from the original ROBLOX 1.0 body to a new female body.

As you can see, we have a range of designs where the arms, feet and hands are more rounded out than the original 1.0 ROBLOX characters. Also, if you look at the heads, you’ll notice that there is a wider jaw, specifically, if you look at Figure C. Your feedback thus far has been important when exploring new characters, and we will continue to show you what we are working on.

    • i wish that they could make the new bodys be packages
      i like the bodys the way they are
      and if roblox does this i will play minecraft instead

  3. If the new bodies become the default, I’m leaving ROBLOX. These are just plain ridiculous. ROBLOX is going to become Roshapes.

    • That’s the thing, if the bodies aren’t blocky then it can’t be ro*BLOX* anymore.

  16. To the people who say that ROBLOX will get sued by LEGO:

    They won’t. How many companies have already copied LEGO? MEGA BLOX, KRE-O, etc.

    Despite this fact, the original 1.0 bodies, heads, arms, and legs are just perfect. Fix problems rather than adding updates that no one wants. Try fixing the exploiting problems and adding a trade system, then people will be more happy.

  18. I would like these but I want the old bodys aswell so you have like the New bodys optional because they do look cool, but I would like the old bodys aswell.

  23. I disagree with these bodies. I know some people like them, but ALOT and i mean alot of people will quit if these are the default.

  25. I dont mind them, However is the 2.0 not enough? Work on fixing exploit and hacking problems rather than making pointless morphs.

Roblox if you publish this and take away all the body morphs and just make this the default oh my gosh I would’nt be able to look at my character anymore…. it’d be looking back at some wierd doll….I really dont want these morphs to be a major morph and default if so I don’t think I’d be able to go through a day in roblox without going… eww….seeing my character with some wierd face and morph.

  30. I think they trying to make it better so were not so square and i love it because now if you want hands and feet ya have to get a package and then you cant ware the clothing fully.
    Plus if you leave because of an up date is not that mean to roblox because they love us and are trying to bring things in to make it better so if you leave for that wow then you are showing the temperment of a child if its not my way i leave lol.
    Were all kids at heart here and love to create but dont give up just because of an up date or you will miss all the fun:)

    • Being square is one of my favorite things about ROBLOX. Even if I had BC, I’d still have the default body on.

  34. I like the girl body but it might mess up wearing dresses. Could it be possible to add a skirt feature to it? i think they look cool and its definatly good that your doing more stuff for girl users. thanks!

  35. Not bad I like the better details in the head! but I agree the arms and hands look kind of blocky and… Well kinda like legos

  36. I hope these are optional, but I wouldn’t mind if they weren’t. It’s not like ROBLOX is going to constantly crash or anything like that… As I said earlier, you should change the hands into spheres, to resemble fists.

  41. No! This is horrible! If this does come out I quit! Even over something so small, its horrible! Knock off of legos and Kreo! I mean really! I only use 1.0, or 2008, 09 bodies becuase its original and unique to roblox! The name of the game Ro-[ROBOTS] and BLOX-[BLOCKS] not Knockoffblox! Keep the bodies we have now dont make more bodies theres already enough!

  43. This is horrible i’ll quit if they come out.This is a stupid copy off of legos.You need to keep the BLOX in ROBLOX.If you updatre these bodies you”l probably go down to 3 million members.You’ve done enough on going realistic keep ROBLOX a cool website.Plus this will ruin clothes.

    • Now u don’t have to go to realistic , It might muck up the whole system! Because it could glitch and make the character fly off the map , Who agrees with me?

    but dont mess with the default body mesh because that is what makes roblox… roblox

  54. ok, roblox has officially crossed the line. this is no battlefield 3, it’s roblox! roblox used to be a fun, unrealistic game where anything could be made or destroyed! if it’s going to be realistic then 90% of all the fun on roblox disappears! just answer this one question: If you are getting bad reviews, why not release it as a non mandatory package available for free or for free or for a cheap, no builders club needed price so anyone who actually wants it can buy it?

    • I agree with the free part, but the first part, I don’t. It will take none of the fun away, it will just make roblox look better. -cryallyouwant

  58. Sadly, Even thought me and alot of other people are going to hate this update, I honestly doubt we have a choice if we want to have this or not. Pluss, Anyone notice the new ones look like KRE-O people? That’s because HASBRO’s trying to buy out roblox to compeat with lego. If the deal is made, You can say goodbye to C-framing, Scripting, and probably everything elce that makes ROBLOX what it is. and say hello to cheap effortless crud that they think will satisfy kids.

  60. again as a package this would be acceptable, and if you do this at least make 1.0 into a buyable package that can be bought with tickets or robux and is NOT builders club only.

  66. This was just like with the new mesh bodies long back. Everyone freaked out, but it turned out to be fine. These look awesome IMO.

  70. This will DESTROY ROBLOX. ROBLOX won’t be ROBLOX anymore. This’ll make ROBLOX look like LEGO. The Terrain is plain awful. You’ve modernized ROBLOX too much. We all suggest that we bring at least the 2009 ROBLOX back, without any Body Packages, BC stuff and OBC. But Groups may still exist.

    The only reason why I am in ROBLOX is the Groups and Forum. Way to go, ROBLOX. You’ll lose a player if this happens.
