We have a big vision. The future of ROBLOX is an online world where many physical phenomena are simulated. Ultimately, wind will blow small parts around, metal wires will conduct electricity, lasers will cause wooden parts to burst into flame, magnets will attract parts made of iron, and water will freeze, flow and vaporize. This is not a world that will be composed only of blocks. Our characters will evolve and adapt to live in this world.

Over the last few months, we have been sharing our development progress on new bodies, heads and faces for ROBLOX characters. Each of the four blog posts we’ve published has received upward of 1,000 impassioned comments. Your feedback has helped us, but we have also noticed that some of our users are concerned about the new character parts.

The new bodies, heads and faces will be optional, and all previous character parts will remain available. The character parts will not release as the default in ROBLOX. They will initially be available to Builders Club members in the Catalog. Controlling the release will allow us to evaluate how the new body parts fit in with the greater ROBLOX world.

ROBLOXian 2.0In 2010, there was concern when ROBLOX introduced new body parts. However, ROBLOX users have adopted the body and its various morphs almost 1 million times. If you prefer a first- or second-generation ROBLOXian, I encourage you to stay with it. We are placing the power in your hands, which is a theme that permeates the ROBLOX platform.

    • No, have you not noticed that the ratio of like to not like is 1:20. We do not want this, ROBLOX is known for it’s graphics…ever notice how kids like the lower quality best? Think of MineCraft, low low quality, great income. Same with ROBLOX. In other words, REVOLT AGAINST THE MORPHS!

  3. Bluerabbit – I disapprove. We should get this free, Why? Because its cool, and what about people who dont pay? Its wrong to make us PAY for the good stuff.. I’m a oldtimer, and I disapprove COMPLETELY of this.

    DesAlter – I havent really been on roblox for alot, I dont mind that much, But I dont want people to have to buy this stuff.. What about the newbies? We’re seperated from the BC and up’s, and the oldtimers almost always get BC.. So we’re just going to be MORE seperated. Let us get this free so everyone can be equal! Dont make it a need to do thing though, Just let it be free. We all know some people like 1st and 2nd generation.

    • i agree with blue rabbit roblox its a very nice thing and i too am an old timer to roblox i been on roblox a very long time not just on this account on my old account which was banned DEATHJLJORD12 i did alot for your comunity back then with some good help from my real life freind ice118 but he now lives in scotland not britain any more but i grow older by the year i am fifteen now and getting ready for my work experience do this one thing for all of us old timers on roblox make this free for all for the good of roblox and the good of the world ;) thank you ROBLOX!

    • I think atleast let the 3.0 bodies be like 100 – 300 tickets for all users of Roblox. Most of the good gear are for Bc’s. Why can’t Nbc’s get cool stuff like the 3.0??

      These have a more Roblox-ish appearance compared to the 2.0 bodies..
      And they are optional…

      I would prefer the 1.0 body over 2.0..
      But if this comes out, I will get the 3.0.

    • Dude more users in ROBLOX use the 0.1 body. If ROBLOX removes them there will be no bodys as the default, therefor ROBLOX will need to make new users,default bodys the 2.0 which ROBLOX dosen’t want to do so…

  8. To all of the NBCers: Stop raging.. There is WAY more NBC things than BC. Probably avg. about 20X more NBC things as BC things.. So stop your raging and join ROBLOX Special Forces and Precision Assault Recon pl0x.

    • have you seen the prices of a lot of “NBC” stuff? at 10 ti a day we coudnt hope to ever get it. and besides. all packages are off limits(only to NBC) bc places are off limits (only to NBC)Private servers are off limits (only to NBC)owning multiple places is off limits (only to NBC) plus we get 1:15 on average compared to you guys. and thats only when we log in.

    • I agree the only thing I liked about this article was the improvements and phsyics like lasers burning wood water freezing and such, I also wish roblox make a scavenger city game where players had to go around a deserted city filled with zombies and find like metal scraps and wood and such to get team points up and they can make buildings and weps out of like they’re latest game by “Games” it would be really nice and no im not talking about survival 303 or talking about copying it if somone says im thinking about it or saying copy it your wrong because survival 303 is filled with noobs that can exploit the games abilities.

    • That is where you are wrong my friend, some want, some don’t, and besides, they are OPTIONAL, so yeah, for those who dissaprove these bodies, they should be using what THEY want, and stop stopping evolution.. oh and no, if I made a online game like roblox but in a different way, I would always make the new items, bodies, forms, but they would be Optional… no one is obligated to use these anyway..

  17. 1. Roblox cant run its company for free. It cost money to run Roblox. thats why they have things like Builders Club, and Robux, so you can help pay for the cost, to keep this company running. So for all you people who are complaing about everything is for BC members only, just remeber, its the BC members who help keep this company going, so you can play for free.

  18. I came to roblox 2008 by a advertise that it was on newgrounds. all it was blocks and people , i clicked it and i was so surprised. some games were pointless
    but anyways i played it and loved it,The characters were awesome,The bc i had no problem,the trade currency was awesome,But when appeared theses Bodies 2.0 and More Detailed, i didnt feeled great like before.now appeared tbc and obc,so i feeled like i want to play another game after appeared the only thing that made me angry is …. Bc Games.
    WHERE DID GO THE MAGIC FROM ROBLOX?….
    Now theses new bodies will destroy me.

    • I can completely agree with you. I started about 2009, when they had introduced TBC, OBC, and skateboards. I really wanted a skateboard to, well, keep. They were waaaay too much for it. Then came the Robloxian 2.0 package and others. They were cool and all, but they were all BC! It seemedunfair that BC got all the fun. The veterans don’t get anything!!! Then they introduced BC games, and I got really annoyed! And what cool things do NBC’s get? Over-priced hats and gear, one place, AND the only package we get is for GIRLS!!! Honestly, Roblox is going to its decline with the NBC’s.

    • Agreed. NBCs and Veterans dont get anything. No bodies (one for girls doesn’t count), no very cheap hats, and only ONE place. All veterans got was a little medal on Christmas…

    These packages are ok, but the hands need changing. They are friggin copies of Lego, and extremely ugly. Go with a more 2.0-ish hand.

    The intersection of depth in the middle of the torso on some looks very sharp and Lego-like, too.

    Fix these and alot of your “concerns” will disappear.

    Listen to us, Roblox. We don’t like this. Don’t make yet another dumb update. Just take this as positive criticism.

  21. I dont’t like these but I suggest that ONLY let the Current Users have the BLOXY body. To make it be special. Limit it. Roblox’s first limited Package. Bloxy Body sold for 10 tix(Or so) and have from 3,000 to 50,000 sold. To keep it special!

  28. I am not here to post about the new 3.0 bodies its just i used to be able to make badges for 60 robux and now its a 100 robux i am really mad change it back or i will be mad and probably post negative comments on facebook…so i advise you change it back.

  30. Optional or not, these new bodies will have some people start ODing like there is no tomorrow. In my opinion, ROBLOX is losing touch with what it originally was: a site where you could build things and share your creations. Although that still exists, the company seems to be putting that behind gaining more money. Take the BC games, for example. For all intents and purposes, they used people’s creations to make more money by getting people to buy BC to play their favorite games. Same with the Trade System. There are tons of people, myself included, that want to move items from an old account to a newer one, but I don’t want to pay for BC just to do that. And now ROBLOX is making bodies that look like they belong in some dating simulator? As I said, ROBLOX is quickly losing touch with what it originally was. Even though there are updates for building, most of the recent blog entries have either been advertising ROBLOX rally in some way or another or talking about how to make your character, and I use these words lightly, beautiful or handsome. ROBLOX may still be a building game, but honestly, some parts of it make me think that they want to make this place a dating site.

    • This is a highly clear point. ROBLOX was meant to be building and shareing. Even in the ROBLOX Rules no online dateing. This will start happening if they make these bodies.

I think that they need to be more strict about their ODing rules, since so many of them get by with ease. Also, why are they releasing the awful bodies if most people said they hated them?

  65. What are you guys complaining about, i got bc and had robloxian 2.0 for a while, but then i thought it was too normal and i switched back to regular bodies.The regular blocky bodies are the best stop complaining. If you get bc you will realize this

  68. Why have them? I don’t want to see more ODers moving in. I do see the new behaviors for blocks as interesting, want my opinion?
    Stick with the normal ROBLOXIAN bodies and add some of those features about the blocks to the game.

    After all, who want a 5 year old pestering you with his new muscle shirt and 3.0 body with his shaggy? No one!
