Bring a laptop for the Hackathon

For those of you who are attending and participating in the first-ever ROBLOX Hackathon, don’t forget to bring your laptop. We’ll provide the internet access and, of course, a bunch of scripting and building challenges, ranging from everyday problem-solving to bona fide brain-melters. Want to how the Hackathon will work? We have a lot of area to cover — the main stage, the Hackathon, the R&D lab, user feedback sessions and, somehow, more. If you find yourself without a committment for any given moment, venture into a zone you haven’t yet visited.

    maybe oceon city that would be nice though closer is better

    oceon city is fun and has alot of fun stuff for familes to do AFTER the confernce too so its more a family trip than a just for you trip :)

  3. No, the new BLOXman will FAIL, and I really mean it. ROBLOX could get sued for this, and I do not want that to happen.

    I miss the old ROBLOX, but I still support the Mods.

  5. GOSH ROBLOX please make one or two in Canada, i know your main Roblox users are in the USA but Canada has the 2nd most so maybe do 1 in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto or Ottawa

  10. Since like all the RGC’s have been on the west coast in California, next year you might want to bring it to the east coast to give some people on the east coast a chance to experience this WITHOUT spending $2000+ or so on it. I think many ROBLOXIANS agree with me.

  12. I don’t see the point for a game confrence, I say it is a waste of money for ROBLOX to host one.
    REASON? 1st off, Roblox can’t host this event as an international event, (im not saying you have too, but like change the location each year) and the reason is that is because they dont have the money.
    2nd. Not that many users attend, out of 25%, roblox has 1 million i think, thats not alot of players to attend for this kind of event
    3rd. Its more than 40$ as ROBLOX says. For people living far away from California, or even overseas, the coast for transportation, airways is about 2,000 $, for about 2 or 4 people, plus hotel costs which is about 80-200$ a night (depends on hotels) it cost more to head to RGC, so basically a rip off.
    4th. Since there’s not musch users, its not needed, i mean just to see 3.0, and the crappy, not-needed 3.0 bodies, then no. Compare it to minecon which has 33 million players then yeah.
    Plus your bribeing people to come by saying you can get a ROBLOX water bottle and a virtual sword, really ROBLOX.

    I say you shoudn’t host RGC, cause its a waste of money for you and for the attendees of RGC.

    • The thing is, RGC isnt just about 3.0 DUH. Theres plenty more to it. Like meeting staff, Getting the insides, And maybe people like spending moneyor its a family trip. Think aboput things before saying them.

      Also who said that they would stay in a “Hotel” Peoplen go to the RGC then probs go home to there nice comfy bed.

        Anyway, it is still considered a waste of money, mainly its about the 3.0, but sure you can meet the staff, and do hackathon, etc, etc. But still I wouldn’t consider this as a family trip because your family is mainly going there just for you, cuase you want to go to an event for ROBLOX, I mean, why would a parent wants to go to a childs game confrence.

      • There were a LOT of other items than the 3.0. Do some research before putting stuff out there. Also they are rewarding people who came. Not bribery.

  27. It would be useful, if ROBLOXians that cannot come due to living in a seperate country (For Example, England) could watch the key points for news via a livestream perhaps on the blog or a YouTube Video. Hope you consider this. :)

    4k for flight
    600 for hotel
    300 for food

  50. being in the middle of the US just time money are the biggest problems on getting there
