Trading System: Available Soon to All Builders Club Members

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our web and ops teams we were able to turn on the trading system for all premium members as of 9 PM on 7/12. The trading system is now in open beta testing. We will be tweaking it over the next several weeks; you may notice changes or periods of unavailability.

If you are a ROBLOX player and you are anything like me, you have been waiting for the arrival of the ROBLOX trading system since almost the dawn of time.

We know that many Builders Club members want access to the trading system *right now*; it’s great that everyone is so excited to get to play with this feature.

The good news is that the trading system is almostdone; we’ve been testing it live with a very limited pool of users and everything is looking good. The trading system is a very complicated piece of software and it is important to us to get it right, which is the reason for the limited rollout.

Once we’re confident we’ve eliminated any residual bugs, we’ll launch it for all Builders Club members. We anticipate this will be sometime in the next week.

As we stated in our sneak preview, the Trading System will allow Builders Club members to exchange limited items without needing to have cash on hand. This will make it more feasible to exchange rare and high-value items, in particular. Take a look at how it works here.

We appreciate your patience, excitement and enthusiasm, and hope that fine-tuning the system now will lead to the best possible user experience upon full-scale release.

    I know you can just buy BC but if you want it to last forever it’ll cost like 200USD.

    • Make it so that we can buy the ability to trade that stays with our account forever but at a cheaper price.

    • You say ” No money- no ROBLOX” I find that hilarious. They will get members to buy BC either way, they did without the trading system didn’t they?

      I say ” No money- no house, food, water, clothes, heat, school, health care.”
      Why not make it for everyone? There really, really is no harm in it.

  5. you see roblox you are loosin people because you make thins for bc only and keep it up you will barely have players on your game and the commercial says millions of palyers the commercial you will make next will probally say 1000 players instead you get what im saying?

  6. I’ve always wanted the trading system, but I wish we could trade non-limited hats. That’s what everyone has really been waiting for. Also, you should allow it to put money into the trade as well. You give some hats, and some money as well.

    • I know right. It’s not fair for NBC people like me. I have items i wish i never purchased and i want to trade them for something else.

      • its true why dosent roblox do anything for nbc players bc obc and tbc players get everything cash bonus and we only get tix and we save them for what to trade and only get 1 or 5 roubux thats messed up

    • Yeah, I work 3 summer jobs not well paid and very exhausting, so I can help my mother who works to the core, so she can support 3 kids. I’m only 13 and it’s very hard some times.
      I can’t waste money on BC, because I must help pay the price of food, clothes, water, heat: things that’ll permit my familly’s survival.
      My family isn’t rich. And when people say “oh it’s only 6 dollars” I think instead ” 6 dollars to pay for something else that’s important”
      I truly believe that something like a trading system should be for everyone, NBCs deserves it as well as BCs do. Some people have waited for it forever.

  17. Why is is Builders Club only!?! They can already buy and sell things on their own! I thought this would be some great revolution in Roblox technology, but I guess not!

    • Exactly! they can get rid of limiteds for robux and now they can get rid of them for another hat. NBC all you get to do is save up for a hat FOREVER and then spend all you robux you had and stick with that hat forever no refund at all.

  18. I have had it up to here with the BC/NBC inequality. The Roblox community doesn’t care about us one bit. I am probably gonna quit Roblox soon if NBC lose one more dumb ammenity to the Spoiled Club. Some NBCs are lucky to have a computer that’s probably outdated to play Roblox, yet this is how the community treats them. The community just wants money money money money from the spoiled spoiled spoiled spoiled. They don’t listen to us. They do what they want and carry along with their ideas, such as 3.0.

    • Yeah, my mother has to work herself to the bone to be able to afford our current house. I also work 3 summer jobs and a normal job that doesnt pay well to help pay for the food, heat, clothes, school, bills, etc. and I’m only under 16! My family can’t be wasting our money buying useless BC for an online game, I’m lucky enough I’m able to even play this game. And it really fustrates me when premium members say “JUST BUY BC IT’S ONLY 6BUCKS LOLOL” or “NBC IS SO STUPID THEY WHINE AND COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING”
      It would make me extremely happier if it was for everyone, and that ROBLOX didn’t exclude us NBCers. I doubt ROBLOX would loose money if it was for all members. I bet it would make ROBLOX look a lot better and people will eventually think “Hey ROBLOX is a good fair website I might buy bc to get the best experience and all the *OTHER* features like robux which *would permit me to buy limited items and hats* and build places and etc.”
      And I know that I’m lucky to even get to play but this is how many other NBCers feel like, like they are ignored and they feel like their not important enough to get something special. This game once was great, and I thought it was F2P. It’s just BLEEHH, you know? .-.

      I find ROBLOX is going down hill for quite some time, not just with this issue but with a lot of others.

  20. My cousin joined 2 months ago (nbc like me) and i said it was free 2 months ago. Now he said ” You said roblox was free. It isnt its just a load of rubish because free players cant really do anything fun.” Now he plays minecraft and he said ” I wish roblox had no bc” NOW He isnt coming back until nbc’s get atleast 2 good features bc’s can do. NOW YOU LOST 1 COOL ACCOUNT.

  22. I just wish the ROBLOX company would care A LOT more about the NBC’s, because its really not fair for ALL of us, even the TBC OBC and BC members. Besides, the trading system is only for the BCs but the company never really cares for the NBCs.

  24. Guys, you have to be BC because they dont want people just getting stuff thats suppost to be for BC people only. Just get a card and use it for Bc and do your trading. You cant just find sites like this that everythings free. It took a long time for this give them credit.

  29. I very dislike the fact how we NBC’ers don’t get this feture do you see any good feture with NBC no. BC alot of good ones. And I know tons of NBC’ers that have very RARE hats that BC’ers don’t but if it is BC only those BC wont be happy when they can’t trade with those NBC’ers with RARE hats like the Dominus and Roblox boy ramient.

  37. what’s the point of even having this when you can only trade limited items, if you have a limited item you will most likely sell it, not give it away. if you make it BC only how about you make with any hat/gear because with only allowing limited items it would be a huge waste of time on your part.

  38. Seriously, if a feature that’s been wanted for a long period of time has been given to BC again, it doesn’t make sense. NBC users were the ones that WANTED the feature because they couldn’t trade. Giving it to BC users is pointless as they could already trade.

    • Shedletsky I want to give gifts out to NBC players not just all BC. The way your treating this shows that roblox is a paid website like club penguin or Wizzard 101. My sister wants the cinamon hair but she can’t get it because she is NBC. If you don’t start improveing people are going to leave roblox and few popular people will be left.

  49. I may be BC but still I Cant believe that NBC’s dont get trading. I mean most likely a lot of them dont have a lot of gear or other collectible items but what about those who have just lost theyre BC. They may have stuff they wanna trade but they cant because they arent BC. Even if ROBLOX makes it NBC has to trade with NBC and BC can trade with any BC it still is better than nothing.

  52. The reason you cannot trade non limited items is because if an account gets PG’d, then all the items can be taken and they may have really rare offsale items.

  53. More stupid BC only stuff. I was BC for 2 years. Yes, I know they need money, but they’re making the whole site less and less free… Its getting ridiculous, the whole reason I ever started playing was because it was free to do anything I wanted. I tried out BC, and I loved it.

    That was back in ’09. Things have changed. Now ROBLOX looks like Facebook with ten times as many users as when I started playing. Every feature seems to be BC only, and the mods seem less in touch with the users than they used to be. (Remember when they actually had those OBC episode things? Now there’s too many people.)

  60. You were a non BC member too. Besides, being a BC member doesn’t mean that you can’t be a noob. Many members buy BC as soon as they join roblox. BC members usually act more noobish than non BC members. They think that they can do whatever they want and always try to take over the servers. They even start BC chains, which is technically spamming. Having BC doesn’t mean you’re not a noob. It just means you have enough money to pay for it.

  63. This is probably not related, but I can’t believe shedletsky chose to visit my place the EXACT time that it had all the bugs in it. I’m cleaning it up now, so TerrainArt1.1 is going to be out soon. And arty I wasn’t on while everyone elsewas, I was away at the Calgary stampede. But I will probably be on for 2hours/ day from now on!

  64. TBH the users who will get the most out of this feature are BC members. The only way I could see this actually get added for NBC is if you can only give away tradable items, not recieve them.

  70. the reason they dont want NBC’ers trading is because it would be spammy, for example: A NBC’er would want to trade the shaggy hair or the red roblox cap for something like a dominus. This is also why its limiteds only. (and yes some NBC’ers di have cool hats its just the majority dont)
