Trading System One Week ChallengeThe goods: a new ROBLOX account and $20. The plan: trade like a maniac. The goal: accumulate tons of loot using nothing but trades.

This is the experiment I started a week ago. Today, my account is worth 161,179 Robux. Read on; I will show you how to trade your way to outrageous success.

Please note that your results may vary and we can’t guarantee this process will make you rich. This article simply explains the minimum resources you need to trade and offers great tips for success.

Day 1: Getting Started

Most ROBLOX players become wealthy through building awesome games and selling VIP passes that unlock bonus content. Not us. We’re going to use the brand new trading system as our engine for wealth.

The first step is to procure two $10 ROBLOX cards, which you can buy almost anywhere and redeem online. Trading is a premium feature, so I bought a 30-day Builders Club (BC) membership with the first $10 card.

I also needed items so I could formulate some initial trades. I could have waited for my daily Robux allowance – one of the perks of BC membership – to accrue, but we’re interested in getting wealthy fast, so I used the second $10 ROBLOX card to buy $10 worth of Robux. BC members get a price break on Robux purchases, so I was able to get 1,000 Robux for $10 instead of 800 Robux. If I had done this the other way around (buy Robux and then a 30-day BC membership) I would be out 200 R$, so follow my lead: BC first.

BC memberships also include a 100 Robux signing bonus and a daily 15-Robux allowance, so on Day 1 I had:

  • 1,115 Robux

I bought five limited items (only limited items are tradable – use the Collectibles filter on the Catalog page to hide all the others while you shop) to start. I opted for several items instead of one expensive item because it would be easier to find trades. I found five limited items selling at or near the Recent Average Price (RAP; this is the price at which the item normally sells). You’ll notice that all the current copies of the Knight King in the screenshot at right are priced higher than the RAP. This is because all the cheaper offers had already been scooped up by bargain hunters like us. In this case, the difference between RAP and the best offer was only 39 Robux, making it a reasonable starter-item buy.

I bought five items like this. At the end of Day 1, this was my SuperTrader account’s inventory:

Day 2: Let the Trading Begin

Day 2 was all about finding people who want to trade. The more trade offers you get, the more opportunities you have for profit. During the course of this experiment, I sifted through over 3,000 trade offers, though I only accepted about one in three.

How to generate trades:

  • Post on the Let’s Make a Deal forum. Specific posts are better – just posting “send me trade requests” will get you nowhere.
  • Join a trading group. I started with this one and later made my own; being able to shout what you are looking for to an entire group generates targeted trades.
  • Dress for success. I bought this shirt so I would look like less of a “noob” and more like a serious trader. Later I found that wearing valuable items generates trade offers for those items.
  • Invite people to Best Friend your account. This makes your status updates visible in their feed, so you can ask for trades there.
  • Browse the catalog for collectible items. Send trade offers to the person selling the item for the cheapest amount. These people want to get rid of the item and will often give you a good deal.

I started with some of the least-valuable limited items on ROBLOX, so there was really nowhere to go but up.My strategy for Day 2 was to accept any trade where the RAP of my item(s) was higher than the RAP of the other person’s item(s). I did about 500 trades and made an average of about 10 Robux profit on each. This is easier to do than it sounds because small trades don’t require that you spend time bartering, negotiating and balancing with additional items.

By the end of Day 2, I multiplied the value of my account roughly six times.

I’ll pause there for now, but these tips should get you started. When we pick this story back up, I’ll provide tips for becoming a pro-level ROBLOX trader, methods of amplifying your trade requests and a look at how the rest of the one-week challenge played out. Stay tuned.

I’m trying this but I started out with 6 limited and now I have 1 page full and the 2nd with about 4 limiteds in it but it seems like I’m not earning money because all of my limiteds I’ve traded are either around 150- 450 robux in rap how am I supposed to make money if I trade people my limited that have a higher rap then their limiteds? I feel like I’m losing money here can someone explain this just a little more better to me please? My character name is sezarius

  2. Thats what i did sorta when i first became BC last winter. Then we didnt have the trade system so i just browsed the catalog for hours at a time looking for low prices/snipes that i could sell for a profit later. For example, i bought Mster of Swordermonies for 500 robux after watching it for about an hour as it lowered and sold it for 799 robux. Just about a 100 robux boost. I did this with many limiteds like ghostfire dagger and moustache warrior. I soon had an account with about 2k in it within a few days. I boguht more limiteds and i was slowly becoming richer until my BC ran out and couldnt sell limiteds. With the last of my money, about 1k, i bought a few of the new limiteds and now im waiting for me to get BC again and sell for a better price. All it takes is patience and luck. Hope this helps.

  3. I’m sorry but wearing an LMaD shirt doesn’t get you trades. Wearing an outfit that not only displays your hats, but goes well with them too, which creates an appealing look, is what attracts people to your profile and items. Also, this is an interesting approach on trading…most RAPs are incorrect and do not portray the value of an item. This becomes a major thing to know when you have stuff worth 10k+. It works for small items, but once you have bigger items, you can’t base them on the RAP. And spamming trades won’t really work too well in this respect, because most people don’t do small item trades. It works, but it would be easy to negotiate. With way less trades I was able to make just as much money you did with less effort.

  4. You sort of have an unfair advantage over everyone else. People know you are John Shedletsky and are more willing to trade with you than anyone else. I suggest trying this on an unknown account and don’t tell anyone who are and press your luck that way.

    • Yea, this is very misleading. Shedletsky doesn’t understand either that going by RAP once you get past 5-10k items will bring you nowhere. It just doesn’t work that way.

  5. i got obc and i bought 10 dollars of robux but i got 1560 robux :D since i got 1000 for the 10 dollars 400 for refering my friend 60 for the obc and the 100 for the first day of builders club

  6. Let BC members have ability to trade with NBC members? I got tons of limiteds in my inventory and I am stuck with them, I wanna trade them in for something else but then I was BC, not anymore, so maybe add a BC trade NBC feature?

  10. I got my azurewrath, lord of the void, an year ago and it was worth around 60k, now it’s 1 mil robux. The RAP was 60k, still. I got a lot of trades which the RAP was around 20k-50k higher, but I declined all of them. Then I waited like a month, and now I got a deal of 60k (my item) for 250k (his item). I made a lot more profit.

  14. Thanks, before I started playing ROBLOX 2 1/2 year ago, My friend told me about “Lmiteds/LimitedUs”.
    So I searched and searched but couldn’t find them. And thanks to a forum that someone posted I learned how to buy/sell with BC. :D

  27. you actually cheated yourself by buying Builder’s Club first. Had you bought robux first, you would have been asked if you would like to get 30 Days of Builder’s club for 1 cent. You would then have used the second card to buy an additional 1000 Robux. Ad that to the 800 you got for the first card, the 100 Robuxk signing bonus, and your first day of Builder’s Club allowance, you would have ended up with 1,815 Robux as opposed to the 1,115 Robux you got by Buying builder’s Club first.

  31. Idea: For non-Bc’ers to have the ability to trade tix stuff. It’s like Limited U, just that its Limited non-BC and you can by it with tix and trade with it too

      My brother who I bought BC for got a lot of limited items by doing this.
      He started with his legitimate business hat.

      He sold all his items later and bought some crappy stuff, and I’m disappointed now.

  39. This is super easy. Just buy limiteds and trade them. Then you can just put ur limiteds you got for sale. Easy. I’m a saver so I never buy limiteds but you’ll get more money if u trade.

  52. I started from a ghostfire dagger (Gear) and the limited i wanted to work for was the Jack O’ Bandit (HAT). It took me 2 weeks, several trades but i ended up getting the Jack O’ Bandit yesterday! I started from a 1500$ rap gear, to a now 6500+ Hat. Which is raising atm and will raise more when halloween will come. It just takes a patience to achieve your item

  60. What if your’e not in America and can’t buy BC or ROBLOX cards? PLEASE make ROBLOX cards available here in the UK! ASDA is one of our main mega-stores, which is a branch of Walmart, so no trouble there really. PLEASE guys, make ROBLOX cards available in other places!

      • That’s sad, the trade system should be for all members, but it’s true that NBC shouldn’t get to trade to get limited items so why not make it that NBC can only trade items that are not limited and under the price of 200 R$? Mabye?

  62. I love the fact that, you can trade, or sell items that are Limited, or Limited U, it makes the community of Roblox have neat business deals, and stuff. If I do say so myself, and maybe others do too!

  64. This is a good strategy, however, I have my own.
    1. Buy as many limiteds as possible.
    2. Trade them for items worth a little more than yours.
    3. Accept ANY trade worth more than yours, check the item page.
    4. Profit!

    For example, I traded Crimsonwrath for Sk11r,
    then sk11r for Person of ages: St. Patrick.

    Crimsonwrath is worth about 2k.
    Sk11r is worth about 4k.
    POA:SP is worth almost 8k.
