ROBLOX Game Trailer Contest: The Winners

The results are in!

Hundreds of ROBLOX users shot, edited and submitted video trailers for their games after we announced our video trailer contest a couple weeks ago. We rounded up the entries and narrowed it down to the 24 best video trailers, then left it up to our users to choose the top five. Each of the five winners banks 20,000 Robux. Plus, everyone who participated receives this Director’s hat to represent their artistic vision and style wherever they go in ROBLOX.

3,000 ROBLOX users voted and the results we’re so close that the top two submissions were separated by a fraction of a point. Here are your choices:

  1. If I would’ve voted, it would have been a tie between catalog heaven and apocalypse rising. I liked apocalypse rising the best

  2. Ugh.. Catalog Heaven.. I don’t like the trailer. The Mind had to win, seriously. And I also loved Gusmanak’s trailer..

  5. My favorite trailer was catalog heaven, but my favorite game was APR. All of them are very good though.

  6. All should have won, they’re all GREAT. Next I hope ROBLOX makes a 30 min long movie contest…

  10. I can’t believe ROBLOX would let Zombies Are Attacking McDonalds enter. That was the first low-quality famous game. Apocalypse Rising and Catalog heaven are obviously going to win, because they are very popular, and have many dedicated players who would vote for their videos. I didn’t get to vote :(

  11. The Mind trailer was absolutly amazing, cant wait to play it. Congrats to the winners and everyone who entered.

  13. Are you kidding me? The Catalog Heaven video shouldn’t have even been considered. Apocalypse Rising should have won.

  20. Why Catalog heaven? NO effects. All it is is gameplay, and at the end a text? I would of replaced Catalog Heaven with land of the silent sun.

  23. Gotta say, the Catalog Heaven video didn’t impress me. I think Marble Ride Storm and Zombies Are Attacking McDonald’s should have got 1st and 2nd, or vice versa.

  24. Don’t think any of these are professional, and I don’t like them at all, apart from the trailer of the Mind. That one was true professional, and is my only winner…

  25. I voted Catalog Heaven and Apocalypse Rising as 2 of my top 5, but I would have liked to see Trials, Bluesteel, and one other one…

  26. The only reason Catalog Heaven came first place is because it’s a good game! The trailer isn’t that good. The winning video should have been Cave Flying! It had comedy, and it showed what it was about!

  32. I still can’t believe that Catalog Heaven won. I think that they should’ve kept the voting to the Staff and staff only.

  33. I think that Marble Ride Storm and The Mind trailors were the best. They just had it all; Music, awesome effects, showed the concept of the game.. Marble Ride had great effects and music to go along with it; and the zooming was incredible in my opinion. Also, The Mind’s trailer was a little bit plain in the effects; but the overall game and music (And being the only one using his own voice) made up for it, and more.

  39. Even though I thought “The Mind” trailer was absolutely mind-blowing, I still found the other trailers to be very interesting as well!

    • Anyone who voted for catalog heaven, obviously only voted for the trailer because of the game, not the trailer’s design itself.

    I would like to know how you get into this making a trailer of your game?

    • You had to make a video within the past to weeks (or something like that) and then your video would automatically be entered in the contest.

  51. Of these videos, Catalog Heaven is my Favorite because its One of the best Games of all time and Seranok is a Freindly person and Reported a major cause on the site.

  57. I think “The Mind” should have won! Sure, Catalog Heaven is good, but it doesn’t use any decent video editing besides the background music.

  58. In my opinion I liked “The Mind” the most and “Apocalypse Rising” second. But congrats to all the winners!
