ROBLOX has been hard at work to bring you Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtle Trouble, in conjunction with the release of the new CGI television show airing Saturday mornings at 11a/10c, only on Nickelodeon.
Take control of one of four genetically mutated, pizza-eating ninja shell-backs, and battle Shredder and his evil foot soldiers in locations all over New York City! Starting in the famous training dojo, you and four other friends have to fight your way through the sewers to get to the downtown city streets and stop Shredder from destroying the city. Collect power-ups like smoke bombs and throwing knives to earn as many points as you can — you can keep tabs on your highest scores with a built-in leaderboard, and the MVP of each game will unlock a certain, shall we say, hairier mutant.
Building on our existing multi-jointed animation system, we’ve also included a new ability: the turtles can perform lunging rolls in any direction by double-tapping the w, a, s, or d keys. Turtle Trouble also features custom animations designed around each turtle’s unique personality, and each turtle has a custom attack animation (our personal favorite being Michaelangelo’s spinning nun-chucks).
Our physics system lends the game small details, like a punching bag that reacts to strikes, and you’ll feel a real sense of momentum when leaping from tall buildings. And with Splinter, the legendary leader of the Ninja turtles, we’ve created a highly detailed and moveable “cloth” kimono that moves realistically in real time. Turtle Trouble has really given us the opportunity to show off the flexibility of the ROBLOX engine.
Don’t take our word for it; jump into Turtle Trouble today.
