Or should we say just off the piers of New York City?
ROBLOX continues to grow larger each day – which also means that more users have questions or need help with all things ROBLOX. Luckily, our Customer Service team is highly trained in assisting our users and finding solutions to their problems in a timely manner. We chatted with members of the ROBLOX Customer Service team about what they do, what you can do if you have an issue, and steps you can take to keep your account secure.
Let’s face it, when you run a website or gaming service that is used by millions of people each day, there are going to be a few bad eggs. It’s an unfortunate truth. Scammers, especially around the holidays, are looking to steal account information through various schemes and tricks. We’re not writing this to scare you; we’re writing this to prepare you. With common sense and some of the suggestions in this article, you can make your ROBLOX account hack-proof.
We’ve got a full staff of moderators who work every hour of every day to make sure that the content that hits ROBLOX is safe for all ages. Though we have users of varying age groups, we make an effort to keep our younger audiences from seeing offensive words or pictures. Keeping moderators on ROBLOX 24 hours a day for seven days a week is a heck of a challenge, as the majority of our moderators have ever-changing schedules. But each of them enforces a strict code of rules that we’ve developed over time. Here, Community Manager Becky Herndon walks you through how we moderate content on ROBLOX.
Becky Herndon and Christina McGrath hosted the 2012 ROBLOX Hall of Fame at ROBLOX Game Conference. With the presentation now in the books, we’re sharing the winners.
In 2011, ROBLOX users created 5.4 million games, 3.1 million models, and more than 250,000 groups, just to name a few of our many startling user-generated content statistics. And already in 2012, users have created 3.8 million games. The point is, inducting users and games into our Hall of Fame for 2012 was no easy task. We solicited feedback from ROBLOX staff and users — we wanted to make sure that you guys got to choose the best and brightest with us. Once again, you, the community, delivered, with over 17,000 responses to our surveys. Check out the winners in the video below!
ROBLOX Game Conference 2012 runs from 10 a.m. to about 4:30 p.m – six-and-a-half hours. Between the main stage, user feedback sessions and Hackathon, we have roughly 15 hours of scheduled content to offer. Unless you possess the ability to be in two places at the same time, you’re going to need to prioritize.
To help you plan, we’re announcing a detailed agenda of events. Please note that this schedule may change slightly, so keep an eye on the RGC 2012 page for updates.
We strongly recommend you buy tickets online so you don’t waste any of your valuable time standing in line the day of the event. Plus, if you buy your ticket online by tomorrow, July 1st, you’ll receive a virtual sword.
