virtualBLOXcon_logo_medFinally, after weeks of waiting, the day of Virtual BLOXcon 2014 is almost here. We’ve already talked at length about what’s in store for the big online fan convention — if you’ve been blissfully unaware of the event, you can read about it here or watch the below video trailer. Today, though, we have a few more details about what’s happening when, and who’s going to be involved.

Virtual BLOXcon starts at 9 a.m. Pacific Time (that’s 12 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. GMT, otherwise use this site to convert to your local time) and will consist of three “stages,” including a Main Stage livestream, a Featured Stage livestream, and a Gameplay Stage. You’ll be able to find all three at roblox.com/bloxcon.

Main Stage

This is the big broadcast from ROBLOX HQ. Many members of the ROBLOX staff will be hanging out at our home base throughout the day to answer your questions, announce Twitch streaming challenges, present awards to top builders, developers and video creators, show off cool new features and updates, and even face off in a competitive game. Here’s the projected schedule (subject to change; this is live, after all):

Submitting questions for Q&A

You have three options for asking us questions for the two Q&A sessions. You can tweet us by using the #ROBLOX hashtag, you can post your questions starting today on the new Virtual BLOXcon 2014 forum, or you can attempt to get noticed in what will inevitably be a very lively chat stream on our Twitch channel.

Featured Stage

We couldn’t pack everything we wanted to show into the Main Stage broadcast, so the Featured Stage is where everything else lives. You’ll see a tour of ROBLOX HQ, a “let’s play” session with a couple admins you’ve seen many times before, meet some top game developers, and more.

Featured Stage schedule

11:00 a.m. A tour of ROBLOX HQ
11:30 a.m. BLOXY Awards runners up
12:00 p.m. How to Code Your Dragon (Part 1)
12:30 p.m. How to Code Your Dragon (Part 2)
1:30 p.m. Meet some ROBLOX game creators
1:45 p.m. Let’s play “Silence”

Gameplay Stage

ROBLOX staff will be playing nine featured games with you throughout the entire day. For a listing of who’s playing when, see this handy forum post. If you’re the builder/developer type, you’ll also be able to launch into this year’s Hackathon challenge from the Gameplay Stage! The challenge will be announced at the start of Virtual BLOXcon.

We’ll see you there
