Summer is always a great time at ROBLOX — there’s more time to build, more time to play, and, as was the case this year, more time to do both of those things live on Twitch. While many of us are back in the school-year routine, we can still take a nostalgic and fond look back at the month of August — wherein we collectively set a new record, with 5,105,200 minutes (that’s 85,086 hours) of live ROBLOX action watched — to see which of the 1,900 ROBLOX streamers did it best.

Most watched broadcasters

This category is meant to reward Twitch streamers who not only get people to come to their channel, but are entertaining enough to keep them watching. The winner for the month is USATwitch, a streaming collective (headed up by Nightgaladeld) whose viewers watched for a combined total of 283,100 minutes in August! With roughly 23,000 stream views across the month, that’s a solid average session of about 12 minutes. Congratulations to USATwitch for working hard on ROBLOX and Twitch, and attracting and entertaining so many viewers.

Most active broadcasters

Not every channel gets enough viewers to win the “most watched” category — not to begin, at least. But many up-and-coming channels put a lot of time into streaming to build a following, and this category is meant to give them a reason to keep going. Congratulations to Pinewood_Builders, the group-based streaming team that ran away with this category! Pinewood Builders is a veteran ROBLOX group, and they took to Twitch in August with a huge amount of streaming time.

Pinewood Headquarters

The Pinewood Builders group has long been known for its building prowess.

Top individual broadcasts

Several streamers leveraged their followings — both on ROBLOX and on Twitch — to get a lot of people watching at once. These five channels had the highest concurrent viewers during a single broadcast in August.

Once in a while, we host a Bereghost stream on the ROBLOX channel, but, let’s be honest, the popular YouTube/Twitch personality doesn’t need much of our help. He streams multiple times per week, and continues to build his following. Keep it up, Bereghost!

Channel of the month

This category exists to highlight a channel that’s doing great things but not necessarily topping any of the predefined leaderboards. For August, this award goes to Grawgh, a ROBLOX newcomer who has quickly built a following of viewers who love to watch him rock out to interesting songs as he snakes his way through just about any game the viewers recommend. We’d love to see more from this personality.

To increase your chances of being noticed for channel of the month, make sure to check the box to automatically archive your broadcasts in your channel settings. That way, we can see what you’re doing even if we don’t ever catch it live.

Prizes!

We’ll be reaching out to this month’s winners soon to give away the prizes ($200 each)! Who’s going to lead the charge in September? It could be you!

Super Bomb Survival

Super Bomb Survival is a really fun new game to play live with viewers.

Final notes

For a step-by-step guide to streaming ROBLOX to Twitch (and therefore participating in this monthly contest) using Open Broadcaster Software, see this blog article. You can also talk with other streamers in the video forum. Use it as a place to chat about Twitch broadcasting and get your channel off the ground!

Whether you’re a streamer, viewer, or both, make sure to stay tuned to our Twitch channel. If we’re not live or hosting someone who is, our channel will always tell you when the next live show is!

Happy streaming!
