Learning through play is important to all of us here at Roblox. In a time when schools around the world are closing down and hundreds of millions of students are at home isolated from their friends, we want to do our part to ensure you have a place you can safely hang out while also continuing your learning in a fun, collaborative environment. Whether you’re into playing or creating games, we’ve assembled some useful resources to help keep your mind—and your imagination—sharp.
Spark your creativity with these engaging games
Our new Learn & Explore sort features a curated list of fun and educational experiences you can play with your friends or family. You can wander around a history museum from the comfort of your own home or challenge your friends to a quick-thinking spelling competition in Word Bomb. Another popular favorite is Lua Learning, which provides interactive, step-by-step programming lessons using the Lua language—perfect for beginners who are interested in learning to create their own games on Roblox.
Learn how to create your first game on Roblox
On top of the Learn & Explore sort, we’re also proud to offer a series of free online lessons designed to help you on your journey to becoming a game developer on Roblox. Check out some of the fun tutorials available here on the Roblox Developer Hub. You can go at your own pace, and there are a bunch of courses available for all skill levels and interests. Even if you’re new to Studio, you’ll be able to learn how to build an obby or design a spaceship for a galactic racing game in just under an hour. You don’t have to do it all on your own either; Studio lets you and your friends create together.
With so much going on in the world right now, we understand the role Roblox plays in many of your lives. It’s the place where we can all stay connected and focus on something that brings us happiness. We hope these resources provide you with a sense of comfort and normalcy during these uncertain times.
Stay healthy, Robloxians!
